“In time of peace, prepare for war”
Anonymous ponders: I don't know if you can help me... i've recently started running on the treadmill, i can only run for about 4/5 minutes before the fronts/sides of my lower leg hurt too much so i can't carry on. i thought it was shin splints (I've had them before and was same sort of pain) but i rested for weeks then build up gradually again & it still happening. feels like my bones is bruised when i push it :( i really really want to lose weight and enjoy running but its so painful :(

You probably still have shin splints. They don’t just go away. I still get them too. Foam roll and see a doctor. Do other cardio like jumping, rowing, elliptical. Or sprint. That way hiit work outs should only be 10-20 mins long and you can still burn some fat doing it. Know the difference in pain in your body. Find alternatives. I did the elliptical when I couldn’t stand the treadmill. Again. Consult a professional. You might have a different under lying problem.
