HIIT On The Track

If it is a gorgeous day and you can make it to the track, I highly suggest this workout for some fat burning cardio. 400 meters is one lap around a track(1/4 mile)!

  • Jog 2 laps warm-up
  • 100-meter butt kicks, rest for 1 minute, and butt kicks back. 4 sets
  • 2 sets of 200-meter sprints (go all out, walk 200 meters and you are ready to go again)
  • 4 sets of 100-meter sprints, lunging back the 100 meters. Rest 1 minute and sprint again.
  • 1 lap of squat jumps. That is right— one full lap! If you need to stand and shake the legs for 20-30 seconds, that is fine.
  • Jog 2 more laps for a cool down!

Very good alternate for boring sprints on a treadmill!
